The caring, compassionate Cardiopulmonary Rehab team at Winona Health has helped thousands of people improve their health. For over 25 years, the dedicated staff have helped dozens of people every day work toward achieving maximum function. Every day, people ranging in age from 13 to 100 come to the Healthy Living Center to build up their strength for surgery, recover from surgery or a stroke, and to generally improve their fitness. People like you and like Orlin…
The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team has been building relationships, strengthening hearts and improving health for the past quarter of a century. We hope you can join us to celebrate this accomplishment, renew former relationships and make new friends at a gathering for current and former rehab clients. We’ll be celebrating 25 years on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Visions Event Center, Signatures Restaurant, in Winona. The program will begin at 6 p.m. with remarks by Daniel Parker, MD, Lynn Sprain, MS, RCEP, RT and Barb Marg. Cost is $10 per person. This event is a collaboration between the Cardiopulmonary Rehab team and the Community Engagement Department. We hope to see you there!

We are in dire need of two new treadmills!
In December 2016, one of our six treadmills overheated and was deemed a fire hazard. In January 2017, the bearings went out on another treadmill. Both treadmills have “lived” three years longer than their expected life span of seven years, and parts are no longer available.
Every day, dozens of clients rotate through the Healthy Living Center and depend on our equipment to elevate their heart rates and improve their aerobic capacity. With nearly 200 clients a year, that is a lot of wear and tear on these valuable machines.
Just like everything, treadmills designed for heavy usage have escalated in cost. Each one is now $6,000 to $9,000, depending on the model. The Cardiac Rehab staff is comparing three options to determine what would be best for our clientele, including options for low-profile and step up height, long handrails, ease of use, repair potential and belt safety.
Would you be willing to help us purchase one or two new treadmills?
Your gift is tax deductible and will help our clients achieve their maximum potential.
