Winona Health Foundation’s Beards for Bucks campaign is a fun way to raise money for a serious cause! Retire your razor for the month of November, or sponsor a bearded friend, and all proceeds will go toward the Men’s Cancer Care Fund. Last year we raised over $2500 for men’s health—this year, with your help, we can reach $5000!
How to Participate
Men…make a $20 (or more) donation to the Foundation by November 1. Shave on October 31 or November 1. Come have your clean-shaven “before” picture taken in the Parkview conference room on Wednesday, November 1 between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Then come back for the group photo at 11:30. We’ll take “after” photos on Thursday, November 30 to see who grew the best facial hair. Voting will take place the first week of December.
Women…sponsor your favorite bearded friend(s) or support the cause with a donation in any amount during the month of November.
Voting and Prizes
Voting will take place at Winona Health starting December 1, using the “after” photos taken on November 30. We’ll announce two winners on Friday, December 8—the man who received the most votes, and the man who raised the most money. Fame and bragging rights will be all yours! (Last year’s bragging rights went to Tony Albrecht.)
Any individual or business donor who gives $500 or more to the cause will have a chance to tour the MedLink helicopter up close and personal. (Two people per donation.) Get an inside view of what happens when the copter is called in on a medical mission.
Fill out the donation form or stop by the Foundation office to make a donation to Beards for Bucks. Winona area men with cancer thank you! If you have any questions, contact Zach at 507.474.3328 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
